From a Vision to a Global Institution
Felicity Global Education was born from one man's unwavering belief that every student deserves a world-class education. Late Mr. M. G. Samaraweera, a legendary figure in Sri Lankan education, served as Principal of Thurstan College, Colombo, from 1978 to 1985, with a teaching career spanning from 1960.
His vision of modern, efficient, and future-ready education became the foundation upon which this institution was built.
On 14th June 2006, we opened our doors as Felicity Promotions (Business Registration No: B1247), operating from our founding premises at No. 02, 6th Lane, Pagoda, Nugegoda, Sri Lanka. What began as a small educational consultancy grew through the trust and loyalty of our students and their families. Today, reflecting our expanded scope and global reach, we proudly operate as Felicity Global Education (Pvt) Ltd.
Over twenty years, we have guided more than 50 students to successful international education outcomes. We are not a traditional education consultancy. Our approach is research-driven: we continuously analyse global job market trends, migration policies, and international employer demands before advising a single student.
Many students arrive with a pre-decided programme in mind — often the most popular or most marketed choice. We challenge them. We introduce them to high-demand, less-saturated programmes that build rare skills and lead to better employment outcomes. We always prioritise affordability and actively pursue scholarships on behalf of our students.
Our Preparation Philosophy
Our preparation process begins long before a student boards a plane:
- We prepare students prior to programme selection, ensuring the right fit.
- We coach students prior to language tests (IELTS / PTE).
- We guide students throughout the visa process, step by step.
- We deliver real-time job interview training.
- We brief students on foreign laws, customs and culture.
- We provide university-life readiness sessions.
When a Felicity Global student departs Sri Lanka, they leave with high self-confidence, strong skills, and the determination to succeed. It was Late Mr. Samaraweera's firm belief that every student must not merely pass — they must graduate with a First Class degree. This belief drives us to this day.
